Step 1 - Client Discovery

There’s no one-size-fits-all for logo design—a logo is only as good as its representation of a business, so it won’t be effective unless you first know what kind of impression the brand is aiming for. We need to know more about the brand before getting into anything. Knowing your client or brand is called Client Discovery

• Some questions to be answered in the discussion :
• Why are you getting a logo design?
• What problem are you trying to solve?
• If your brand were a person, what adjectives would you use to describe it? (clever, prudent, etc.)
• What is your brand voice? (eloquent & formal, jokey with slang, etc.)
• Which beliefs and values are important to your brand?
• What is your unique value proposition? What does your company offer that your competitors don’t?
• How do you want your customers to describe your brand to their friends?

Step 2 - Industry Discovery

We do research for other logos in your industry you can glean:

• what logo techniques work for your industry, i.e., brand colors or particular shapes
• What logo techniques are overused, to the extent that they lose personality
• what logo techniques are ignored, which might inspire ways to stand out
• what kind of customers dominate your industry (or which customers your rivals prefer to target)

for example, most logos in the tech industry use the color blue. With this information, you can either (1.) also use blue because the data suggests it works best, or (2.) use another color in order to stand out from the sea of blue logos. There’s no right or wrong answer, it depends on how much of a priority standing out is to your branding strategy. But either way, you won’t even know there’s a choice to make unless you research other logos in your industry first.

Step 3 - Application Discovery

Something about branding is becoming more and more obvious to business owners due to reduced screen sizes and new avenues for advertising: logos are no longer "one size fits all."

Step 4 - Moodboard & Sketching

After having a deep understanding of brand and industry research, we create a moodboard to have the design direction. The moodboard consists of different inspirations around icons, imagery, logo styles, color palette, typography and overall brand messaging taking inputs from Mind mapping exercise.

Sketching to brainstorm and explore fresh ideas using our moodboard and keywords from mind mapping.

Objective is to have smorgasbord of good number of logo sketches. These sketches are rough and only to get an idea and logo direction.

Step 5 - Creating Vector Logo

We take around 3 of our best ones from sketching exercise and recreate them in our design software. We use Adobe Illustrator to design vector logos. This is where your final logo really starts taking shape.

While illustrating any logomark we follow design principles and elements. The mark we design always works perfectly fine at any dimension.

Once the logo mark is finalised we move towards colouring as per the brand personality. We always keep a colour palette that perfectly communicates the brand voice and overall brand personality.

Step 6 - Feedback & Revision

We share a well structured logo presentation which include the logo on different applications to give a real life understanding.

We take feedback and provide revisions. The feedback provided by the client should have solid reasoning. We always incorporate logical feedback.
