Choose your logo type wisely. It should not be biased or driven by someone’s interest—maybe the liking of the founders or the liking of a designer. It should not have any sort of strings attached when it comes to designing a logo. Your brand logo should be for your brand’s audience not for the founders or designers.

So figure out the logo type first. For example, if you are building an interior design studio logo, you need to find out whether a clean, simplified wordmark works better, or you can also try a monogram or any geometric shape or abstract icon. You need to figure it out, because all three can be a fit for a brand in the interior designing space. By talking to your stakeholders and brand owners, and by understanding the audience first, you can figure out the right logo type and then work accordingly.
