Creative Orion is a branding agency based in Faridabad and Gurgaon, working with businesses across Delhi NCR. Over the past few years, one pattern has shown up repeatedly in our client conversations: Gurgaon’s premium automotive service market PPF application, ceramic detailing, performance tuning, custom audio has grown sharply, but the branding of the workshops doing this work hasn’t kept pace.
That gap is the subject of this piece.
The Market Reality
Gurgaon has one of the highest concentrations of premium and performance car ownership in Delhi NCR. With that has come a parallel rise in specialised automotive services paint protection film (PPF) studios, ceramic coating centres, detailing workshops, and performance tuning garages, many operating out of Udyog Vihar, Sohna Road, and the industrial and commercial belts around Sector 18 and 37.
This is a genuinely skilled trade. PPF installation alone requires precision most car owners never see pattern-cutting, edge-wrapping, surface preparation and the margin for error on a six- or seven-figure vehicle is close to zero. The same is true of paint correction, ceramic application, and performance remapping. These are not casual services. The people doing this work have real technical depth.
What’s striking is how rarely that depth is reflected in how these businesses present themselves.
The Disconnect
Walk through the directory listings for ‘car detailing Gurgaon’ or ‘PPF Gurgaon,’ and a pattern repeats: workshop names that don’t stick, logos that look interchangeable, no consistent visual identity between the Instagram page, the signage, and the invoice. Many run almost entirely on word-of-mouth and Instagram reels which works, until a customer with serious purchasing power is choosing between two studios with comparable technical reputations, and the only differentiator left is which one looks like it can be trusted with a car worth more than most apartments in the city.
This isn’t a criticism of the workshops. It’s a structural reason, and an understandable one: the people running these studios are car people first technicians, tuners, detailers who built their reputation through craft, not through brand strategy. Branding usually isn’t the thing they trained for, and it’s rarely the thing they have time for once the workshop is full of cars.
But for a category this premium, the cost of that gap is real. A weak or inconsistent brand doesn’t just look unfinished it actively works against the trust a luxury service depends on. Customers spending lakhs on a single PPF job are, consciously or not, reading brand signals as a proxy for reliability.
What This Looks Like When It’s Fixed: ETU Motor Works & Studio
We worked with ETU Motor Works & Studio, a luxury automotive repair and performance studio in Gurgaon offering PPF, paint, detailing, mechanical servicing, tuning, performance upgrades, and custom audio installation. Their craft was never in question what brought them to us was a brand that didn’t match it: a logo that didn’t scale or reproduce cleanly, no consistency between their digital presence and the physical workshop, and no documented guidelines for anyone working on their brand assets.

We ran a full discovery process understanding their customer profile, their competitive set, and the tone they wanted to project before building a custom monogram that holds two ideas in tension: engineering precision and luxury refinement. The ‘E’ carries speed-line detailing for motion and precision. An orange bar bridges the ‘E’ and ‘T’ to signal synergy between mechanical performance and aesthetic detailing. The ‘U’ is built as a triangle for stability, with the letterforms ‘A’ and ‘V’ embedded within it.
Beyond the mark itself, we delivered a complete brand system: documented brand guidelines covering colour values, typography, and usage rules; corporate identity on a matte black substrate; staff uniforms and merchandise; and in-space branding applied across the physical workshop, so the experience of walking in matches what the team delivers on every car.

What Gurgaon’s Premium Workshops Should Actually Look For in a Branding Partner
Based on what we’ve seen working with automotive and other premium service clients in Gurgaon, three things matter more than they’re usually given credit for:
A brand system, not just a logo. A logo alone doesn’t solve the inconsistency problem it just gives you one more asset to be inconsistent with. The workshops that actually close the trust gap are the ones with documented guidelines: defined colours, defined typography, defined rules for how the mark appears on a uniform versus a business card versus workshop signage.
Branding that understands the category. A car workshop is not a salon, and it’s not a generic tech startup. The visual language needs to hold engineering credibility and aesthetic refinement at once lean too far toward aggression and it reads like a tyre shop; lean too far toward polish and it loses the performance credibility that customers in this category are actually paying for.
In-space consistency. For a workshop, the physical space is the brand’s most important touchpoint more than the website, more than Instagram. A customer dropping off a car they care about is reading the workshop environment for trust signals the moment they walk in. Branding that stops at the logo and never reaches the walls, the uniforms, or the signage leaves that touchpoint unmanaged.
The Gap Is the Opportunity
Gurgaon’s automotive services market is only getting more competitive more PPF studios, more detailing centres, more performance garages opening every year, most of them technically capable. In a market like that, branding stops being a nice-to-have and becomes the actual differentiator between a workshop that’s known only within its existing customer circle and one that’s positioned to compete for the next tier of clientele.
ETU Motor Works & Studio is one example of what that shift looks like in practice. We expect it won’t be the last in this category and we’d be glad to talk to any Gurgaon workshop weighing the same question.
